Lillian received her Master’s Degree in Social Work, from the University of Michigan. During her graduate education, she received the honorary designation as an Integrated Health Scholar in addition to a certificate in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Her devotion to this work began when she accepted a position at Dana Farber Cancer Institute’s pediatric oncology unit. From there, it was clear that her life’s purpose was to connect with and support individuals with chronic health issues. Working with chronic illness has shown Lillian the powerful connection between physical and emotional health and she honors this connection in each and every client journey.

While Lillian’s primary experience has been providing counseling to those struggling with chronic illness, she developed powerful skills to utilize in supporting her clients through anxiety, depression, grief and other powerful emotions that follow traumatic life experiences. Helping individuals and families gain strength, support, and motivation is what Lillian enjoys the most about partnering with her client’s on their journey. She recognizes the process and commitment that therapy can be and how much courage and resilience it takes for an individual to come into the office.​

Lillian is Eagala certified, which is the global certification for Equine Assisted Therapy. This is an experiential intervention involving clients working alongside horses as partners to empower life changing outcomes. This certification allows her to offer equine assisted therapy services to clients, creating a safe and healing environment for her clients, as well as combining her passion for horses and therapy.

With a lifetime of experience with horses and a deep passion for mental health, Lillian Dugan brings a unique and powerful approach to healing. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and certified Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy practitioner, she combines traditional therapy with the transformative connection between humans and horses.

Whether in the office or the barn, Lillian creates a safe and supportive space where clients can find healing, growth, and renewed hope. Lillian is excited to offer psychotherapy and equine therapy services at Flying Bee Farms and to help people heal and find their true potential!​
